Gogglebox paid a moving on-screen tribute to a publicist on Friday night after her sudden death at the age of 41.

Lesley Land, a long-time publicist at Channel 4, is believed to have died unexpectedly at her home on December 3.

He worked on network television for eight years, including on Doctor Who, TFI Friday and The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.

Lesley was working on comedian David Baddiel’s documentary The Jews Don’t Count shortly before her death.

A simple message appeared at the end of the episode that read: “In loving memory of Lesley Land 1981-2022.”

In a statement, Channel 4 said: “All of us at Channel 4 are deeply saddened by the news that our colleague and long-time friend, Lesley Land, passed away last Friday.

‘Lesley joined Channel 4 in 2014. She was the driving force behind many of Channel 4’s most memorable press campaigns of the last decade, including Gogglebox, Baby Hospital, The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, Stand Up To Cancer, TFI Friday, The Big Narstie Show, and Miriam & Alan, delivering them all in her typical flair and flair.

‘His most recent project was The Jews Don’t Count. She said that she had never been more proud to work on a show.

He continued: ‘Lesley was a wonderful friend, a generous colleague and had a great time wherever she went. But ultimately, family was at the center of Lesley’s life.

‘Our hearts go out to them at this devastating time. Much loved by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

Land is survived by his mother Anita, his father Brook, and his brother.
