Gogglebox Australia stars and husband Matty reveal their heartbreak over miscarriage while awaiting the birth of their second child: ‘You don’t think it will happen to you’
Sarah Marie Fahd and her husband Matty Fahd have shared the details of their heartbreaking miscarriage.
The Gogglebox stars, who are expecting their second child, tell in this week’s edition of star magazine that the loss has left them wary of celebrating the new arrival.
“Miscarriage kind of ruins the pregnancy because ignorance is bliss,” said Sarah, 35.
‘You know things like this happen, but you don’t think it will happen to you. And when she does, she changes things. You are alert for everything,’ she continued.
‘You want all the scans and tests done [as reassurance]. Because the placenta is in the front, I don’t feel this baby moving as much as I do. [felt] with malik [the Fahds’ three-year-old son]. It all makes you a little more cautious.’

Matty tells the publication that “there needs to be more awareness” about miscarriage, as it was painful when people asked the couple when they were going to have another child.
‘Maybe it would be better to ask people: ‘Do you want to have another baby?’ instead of, ‘When is the child coming?’ Like it’s something you go and buy in the store,’ said the 35-year-old.
The couple announced that they were expecting their second child, another boy, in December of last year.
They shared the exciting news on Instagram along with a series of family photos with their three-year-old son Malik.
