Gogglebox Star Tim Lai Announces Engagement, Reveals He’s Planning THREE ‘Basic Gay Weddings’
One wedding won’t be enough for Gogglebox Australia star Tim Lai and his partner Mark, who announced their engagement this week.
Tim, 44, who hopes to get married next year, said Women’s Day there will be three different ceremonies on three different continents, but they won’t be too extravagant.
“We’re basic gay, we’re not bougie or over the top at all,” he laughed.
The couple decided to tie the knot on their 25th wedding anniversary, and 16 people are expected to be included in the wedding party.
First, Tim and Mark will celebrate in Melbourne with their Australian relatives, before traveling to Malaysia for a second wedding with Tim’s family.

His third service will be in Scotland for Mark’s family side, where they have decided to rent a castle.
Tim’s onscreen couchmate Leanne will act as the celebrant at his European service.
Her fellow Gogglebox co-stars Faye and Lee have enlisted as bridesmaids.
“They have the biggest hearts and I love them to the moon and back,” she said.
Tim said that he and Mark won’t start a family after they get married because they’re too old, adding, “Look, in the gay years, they probably call us geriatric.”

“We don’t want to be 70 and chase our 12-year-old son, so we’ve decided we have our lineage.”
Instead, they have a variety of pets to care for and international travel on the cards.
