God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla gets difficulty and balance updates in latest patch
The last God of War Ragnarok: Walhalla patch is now live and fixes persistent bugs while balancing the difficulty and combat in the DLC.
With patch 05.03, Sony Santa Monica has increased the difficulty of some arena challenges while also tuning The Forum “to make the difficulty more appropriate”, a small change in balance, but a welcome one considering Walhalla's roguelike elements.
The difficulty of the first Týr battle when playing in the 'Show Me Will' setting has also been reduced, while balance updates have been rolled out more broadly across the rest of the DLC.
Several issues surrounding specific battles have also been addressed, as well as the crashing issues that would occur when opening certain chests or rifts, and thankfully Kratos should no longer have to fall through the world even when walking through a Mystic Gateway.
The studio has noted that players should ensure that both the main game and the Walhalla have been updated before opening the game and added a 'Download in Progress' screen so players know if they are trying to start the DLC before the base game is fully installed.
