Cricket legend Wasim Akram has put his Melbourne home up for sale after nine happy years in the property.
Akram, who features in Wisden’s all-time Test World XI, has spent the past decade splitting his time in Brighton’s elite Bayside suburb with his hometown of Karachi.
Akram and his wife Shaniera have owned the home in Whyte St for the past nine years. They initially lived in the property before renting it out last year.
Now the three-bedroom house is being put up for auction this weekend.
“Although there will always be a little part of me attached to this fantastic home, we are very pleased to still be able to live in Brighton and enjoy all that this amazing area has to offer,” he said.
