Go for gold! Queen Máxima of the Netherlands stunned in Greek dress for state dinner

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands brought all the glamor to the red carpet when she attended a state dinner in Belgium tonight.

The Dutch royal family, 52, is currently on an official state visit to the country with her husband Willem-Alexander, 56.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium organized a state dinner for the visiting royal couple this evening.

When she arrived in Brussels for the occasion, Máxima looked sensational in a one-shoulder pleated gold dress.

The refined dress had a short train and was tightened at the waist with a glittering belt.

To accentuate the tone of her dress, Máxima wore a thick diamond necklace with a large amber pendant.

The royal styled her blonde hair in loose waves and opted for her signature brown smokey eye.

Maxima braved the 24 degree heat tonight, wearing a small white fan and finishing her outfit with a square gold handbag.

Meanwhile, Queen Mathilde, 50, opted for a shimmering silver floor-length dress with floral appliqués.

The European royal family swept her hair in a chic updo and wore a beautiful floral diamond necklace.

In addition, both King Philippe and King Willem-Alexander looked smart in black tuxedos for the occasion.

It’s because both Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and Queen Mathilde of Belgium were twins in floral dresses when they attended the Climate Tech Forum earlier today.

Both queens looked typically glamorous as they stopped to chat in the cafe in the Serre d’hiver.

The gala dinner, organized by the Belgian royal family at their official residence, the Castle of Laeken, took place on the first evening of the three-day state visit of Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander to Brussels.

Queen Maxima looked effortlessly elegant wearing a dusty pink dress with a beaded bodice and a full, ruffled skirt.

With her hair combed back, the Dutch Queen wore the 1897 Stuart Tiara for the momentous occasion.

Queen Máxima previously wore the elaborate tiara at a state banquet at Buckingham Palace in October 2018.

Queen Máxima sparkled with the finishing touch of an elegant diamond necklace and matching diamond earrings.

Meanwhile, her host, Queen Mathilde of Belgium, looked equally elegant in an embellished light blue strapless dress.

The 50-year-old mother of three wore a long lace scarf draped over her shoulders and carried a small handbag.

Even with a tiara, a diamond necklace and diamond earrings, Queen Mathilde’s jewelery was just as spectacular as that of Queen Máxima,

The two heads of state, King Philip and King Willem-Alexander, who would both give speeches, looked neat in white tie and tail.

Later today, the King and Queen of the Netherlands will travel to Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, Waterloo and Charleroi, before departing for Leuven and ending in Antwerp.

The state visit aims to reaffirm the excellent ties between the two neighboring countries, which have strong historical, social and economic ties.

During the tour, the two royal couples will visit many different centers, museums and companies that are working on a sustainable future in which energy is green and affordable.
