Global weight loss company Jenny Craig to shut its doors after four decades 

Australian-founded slimming company Jenny Craig is reportedly on the verge of closing after four decades in the business.

The company, which was founded by Australian Jenny Craig, sent an email to US-based employees saying it will close “due to an inability to secure additional funding.”

It is not yet clear what this means for Jenny Craig’s business in Australia.

All of the company’s US and Canadian employees will lose their jobs on Friday, and many have already left.

Jenny Craig ran approximately 500 owned and franchised locations in the United States and Canada, employing more than 1,000 people, NBC reported.
