A manhunt is underway after an attempted abduction of a little girl at a primary school, as it’s revealed the man had peered at her under a toilet stall.
South Australian Police said the unknown masked man walked into Glenelg Primary School in Adelaide about 10am on Tuesday.
Witnesses said the child snatcher walked up the stairs as classes were in progress and grabbed the Year Four student from a hallway.

She was dragged downstairs, kicking and screaming – before she managed to escape.
Police raced to the school but the culprit couldn’t be found.
According to a statement, the man is described as being 180cm tall, bald and wearing a long, light blue shirt, black pants, a black face mask and carrying a beanie.
Police are urgently asking anyone who might have seen the man near the Diagonal Rd school or was driving nearby and has dashcam footage to contact them so they can examine it.
A fellow student told The Adelaide Advertiser the man had looked at the girl under a toilet stall before he tried to grab her.
She said she had no clue who the man was and that she did not want to go back to the school because she was scared.
Security guards have been stationed outside the school as of Wednesday afternoon.
Glenelg Primary School principal Shane Misso wrote to parents on Wednesday informing them the matter was in the hands of SA Police and the SA Education Department.
The school said the matter was with SA Police in a letter to parents (pictured)
‘We thank you for your concern, care, and patience as we work through the events of Tuesday, August 9, 2022,’ Mr Misso said.
‘Unfortunately at this point, we are not able to provide any further detail to the community.
‘When we are informed we can, we will communicate with the wider school community.
‘All communications are being provided through the Department of Education.
‘All children are accounted for and safe. Additional resources and procedures are in place.’
