Glamorous equestrian Tatyana Remley at center of $2M murder-for-hire plot against her husband claims his friend raped her and threatened her ‘Godfather-style’ with horse statute’s head in her bed

A glamorous equestrian accused of hiring a hitman to kill her husband claimed she was raped by one of his friends as he cheered – before being threatened ‘Godfather style’ with the head of a horse sculpture in her bed .

Tatyana Remley, 42, alleged that her husband Mark Remley, 57, allowed one of his friends to sexually assault her at their lavish mansion in San Diego in May, according to divorce papers obtained by DailyMail.com.

She also claims that her husband “tried to kill” her on several occasions with a knife and held a gun to her head, claiming that he has a history of “verbal abuse, substance abuse and having very dangerous friends.”

The picture painted in the shocking divorce papers is very different from that painted by a former business partner, who told DailyMail.com that Mark was “like a scared puppy” in their relationship while she “handled everything.”

Tatyana is still in jail in San Diego after being arrested last month on an alleged $2 million murder plot when an undercover detective posed as a hitman.

The alleged rape described in the lawsuit is said to have taken place on May 21, with Tatjana claiming that one of her husband’s friends “broken open my bedroom door while I was locked inside.”

“It was late at night and I was terrified,” she claimed in the filing. “They broke into my bedroom and held me at gunpoint. I was raped by one of his friends, who also told me that he was planning to kill me.

“This all happened while the respondent was watching and laughing, allowing his friends to continue.”

After the alleged ordeal, Tatyana claims the group “then smashed my expensive horse statue in the yard and put the horse’s head in my bed, Godfather style.”

She also alleged that he owns more than $7 million in assets, ignored orders to seek mental health care, and suffers from cocaine addiction.

Among the list of assets are three Rolls Royce’s with a total value estimated at $1.3 million.

The alleged murder-for-hire plot came amid a bitter divorce battle between the couple, in which she told a court she was spending $50,000 a month, but her wealthy, estranged husband had cut her off financially.

Though they seemed to live a life of luxury in their $5.3 million Del Mar mansion, details from their marriage claim that they had a turbulent and volatile relationship.

The allegations against Mark contrast sharply with the allegations of a former business partner, renowned Las Vegas equestrian showman Erik Martonovich. He told DailyMail.com that Mark was easily bossed around by his wife, as he “just followed her.”

“I never saw Mark say no to her,” he said, adding that “whatever she said happened.”

“She was bad, look how pretty I am. The personality she wanted to portray to the world was that she is a beautiful Russian supermodel. And maybe a supermodel with a hint of Barbie,” Martonovich said.

“I don’t think she’s really Russian, nor a supermodel. But I’m pretty sure she’s good at being a gold digger.’

In her divorce filing, Tatyana admitted that the couple had a “comfortable” life, but that she was completely dependent on her husband, and she asked the judge for $15,000 a month in spousal support.

DailyMail.com revealed this week that Mark has now disappeared after being rushed to hospital last month claiming he was having a seizure.

The multimillionaire couple made headlines in 2012 after their attempts to launch an equestrian acrobatic show called ‘Valitar’ were suddenly halted, causing them to lose millions of dollars and a slew of jobs.

The disaster led to Mark Remley filing for bankruptcy in 2012, but the setback didn’t stop them from coming out. According to court documents, Tatjana claims they would spend up to $30,000 on a single night out.

She also claims that her husband and his friends stole more than $250,000 worth of purses, clothes, cars and pets from their properties after the alleged rape, and that she had been “in hiding.”

Returning with a friend on July 5 when she “came out of hiding,” she said the house dramatically caught fire and “almost burned down.”

Their adversarial marriage came to a head when she filed for divorce on July 11, but she was arrested on August 2 after a sting operation instigated by her husband.

It is alleged that Tatyana offered a mutual friend $2 million to kill him, but when Mark discovered the plot, he told police, San Diego sheriff’s officials said.

The couple had no children together, but raised each other’s children from previous marriages, and Tatjana urged the court to grant her exclusive access to their family property.

Because of the fire damage from earlier this year, she asked to live in a caravan on the site.

Martonovich this week gave intimate details about the couple’s rocky relationship following the dramatic arrest.

He became associated with the feuding couple after they approached him to produce their ultimately disastrous “horse-human acrobatics show” called Valitar in 2012, which cost millions of dollars.

He had distanced himself from the project by the time it spectacularly crashed with just three of its scheduled 45 performances at the prestigious Del Mar Fairgrounds – leaving a trail of irate creditors.

But the experience gave him a unique insight into the couple’s relationship and personalities.

‘Mark is very socially awkward. He’s just not good at talking to people,” said Martonovich, who now runs the horse event Gladius The Show — billed as “Cirque du Soleil Meets Mad Max on Horses.”

“The only thing good for his personality is that he has money, so he used it to get people to talk to him.

He is also very bad at communicating with women. At least the ones he finds attractive. He always had that shaky, strange look.

“Tatyana is fake nice. She was nice to your face, but if you don’t do exactly what I want, then fuck you.

“I heard her allegations that Mark held a gun to her head. I don’t believe it for a second because I’ve never seen him say no to her let alone argue.’

Tatyana faces a slew of charges including instigating murder, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place. She is due to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on November 16.
