Gladys Knight donned a long-sleeved red gown when spotted at the Kennedy Center Honors at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC on Sunday, as she was one of the honorees for the occasion.
The Grammy Award-winning artist, 78, wore her black locks with diamond earrings and a rainbow-colored sash as honorees received.
Other honorees for their artistic contributions at the annual showcase include U2, Tania León, George Clooney and Amy Grant, with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in attendance.

During a ceremony in the East Room of the White House on Sunday, President Joe Biden told attendees that he had all of Knight’s songs on his iPhone.
“Let’s get on that midnight train,” the president said, referring to the 1973 Midnight Train to Georgia. “Because I speak for all Americans when I say we’d rather live in your world than be without you in ours.”
The president, describing the honorees as an ‘exceptional group of artists’, said: ‘Thank you for showing us the power of the arts and of We the People.’
He continued: ‘We would do well to remember today at a time when there is too much hate, too much anger, too much division here in America and, frankly, around the world. We have to remember today, as his song says: “We are one but we are not the same. We carry each other.”
