A mother assaulted a stranger after her family helped free his stuck vehicle – before he abandoned them when their own car became stuck.
Emmy camped with her three children and husband Cam at Gladstone Bay Campground, 750km north of Perth, on Saturday.
A stranger, Adam, came to them for help, explaining that he had walked for miles looking for help after his vehicle became stuck in the mudflats.
‘We didn’t know him beforehand, gave him a lift to his car, saw that it was completely stuck in the mudflats and [my husband] Cam’s first thought was, “I can’t leave someone alone,” she said.
“Cam and my fourteen-year-old son helped you for hours after you were clearly an idiot on the flats!”
Emmy and Cam’s car became stuck while trying to free the vehicle – with Adam vowing to drive back to the campsite and ask for help.
Emmy claims that Adam instead drove away without telling anyone, leaving Cam and his son stranded.
It took others from the camp three days to successfully drag Cam’s vehicle out of the mud and now his wife is calling out Adam for causing the whole mess.

A stranger named Adam came to them for help, explaining that he had traveled miles looking for help after his vehicle became stuck in the mud flats.
Emmy lashed out at Adam for abandoning her family.
‘I hope you see this. How did you sleep last night?’ she wrote.
‘You drove out of the camp like (the) absolute idiot that you are. Didn’t even stay overnight today to help with the truck.
“You piece of shit.”
What particularly surprised Emmy was that Adam had paid for two nights at the campsite before getting stuck, but chose to leave immediately after being released.
“We helped dig you out for hours, using our winches,” she wrote on social media.
“We got you out. You were supposed to drive back to the Gladstone Bay Camp and look for someone else to help us get out, but YOU LEAVE AFTER PAYING FOR 2 NIGHTS TO STAY!
“YOU LEFT CAM AND [my son] STRANDED!’
Their vehicle was rescued from the campsite by a ‘mini army’ and now the family too warns others to watch out for Adam.
“We would love to see him again as he forgot to say thank you so if you know him please pass it on,” the mother wrote.
Adam promised to get help for the family after they got their own car stuck while they helped save his, but instead he just left and the family was stranded for three days.
The family had been camping near the Gladstone salt flats, Western Australia
Adam was branded ‘unAustralian’ by countless campers who read about his selfish act.
“Hopefully you find him and take his radiator as a farewell gesture,” one person wrote.
“I would consider contacting the police as it is a very unusual thing to do,” a second added.
“What a flogging,” said a third.
“What a selfish, rude, disrespectful and unfriendly person,” wrote another.
“Leave a family stranded. What a hero,” another person added.
