Gisele Bundchen is the ultimate model off-duty as she jets out of NYC after whirlwind press tour for new cookbook

Gisele Bündchen remained at ease as she made her way through a New York City airport on Friday.

The 43-year-old supermodel wore a beige hoodie under a tan double-breasted trench coat as she dragged her luggage through a terminal before getting ready to board her flight.

The fashion industry mainstay — who recently opened up about experiencing a near-death experience — also wore skin-tight jeans that were offset by bright white sneakers.

Bundchen dressed up in chic sunglasses and kept a leather bag on top of her suitcase.

The catwalk regular’s gorgeous blonde hair was tied into a loose ponytail as she prepared to leave the Big Apple.

The supermodel visited New York City to promote her upcoming cookbook, titled Nourish.

Bundchen initially revealed she was planning to release a cookbook with a post shared to her Instagram account last September.

The catwalk regular shared the cover art for the publication, as well as three photos of items from the book.

The fashion industry personality recently appeared on The view and opened up about how her diet during her early days as a model caused her to develop several mental health issues.

She stated via People: “I had no idea it was related to my lifestyle – and food was a big part of that… I started having severe depression and panic attacks in my 20s,” she said.

Bundchen further spoke about her past attitude towards food, admitting that she was reckless in her food choices.

“I was the kind of person who said, ‘As long as it’s in the supermarket, it’s a great food.’ Something. I just thought, “Let me eat it.” With comfort food, you’re on a journey and you’re tired,” she said.

The supermodel then opened up about the connection between her eating habits and her mental health.

She recalled, “I found a wonderful naturopath and he said to me, ‘Gisele, we need to change your diet.’ And I thought, “Diet, what does that have to do with panic attacks?” And he says, “No, it has everything to do with it.”

Bundchen subsequently admitted that she had become accustomed to eating poorly during the early stages of her modeling career, although she eventually curbed her habits.

‘It was a long journey. We are ordinary beings. If we do something every day, we will feel comfortable, and that’s why I did that,” she said.

Nourish is currently scheduled for its official debut next Tuesday.
