Radio presenter Zoe spotted a gap in their 2024 tour schedule, suggesting the iconic girl group might appear at Glastonbury.

Cheryl teased: “Can I just be blunt. Glastonbury didn’t even ask us, but it’s a nice idea, isn’t it?’

Nadine also chimed in, adding, “Yes! They have to ask us!’

Ahead of their interview, the iconic girl group put on a phenomenal show, storming into the BBC studios in a variety of sleek looks, having previously performed their reunion top tightly under the wraps.

Irish singer Nadine followed suit in a stunning black leather dress, accentuating her slim waist with a cropped gray blazer.

Last but not least was Kimberley, who stunned in a chic denim ensemble with large gold buttons.

Although previous reports claimed that Girls Aloud would be releasing a new video, the girl group has confirmed that they will not be recording any new videos or music.

Nadine said: ‘There’s no new music and there’s no video – although we did shoot a commercial.’

Cheryl shared in a statement: ‘We all started talking a few years ago about the possibility of doing something to celebrate Girls Aloud’s 20th anniversary. The anniversary seemed like an obvious thing to celebrate.

‘But when Sarah got sick, all priorities changed. She passed away a year before the anniversary and it just didn’t feel right, it felt too soon.”

The pop group wants to use the tour as an opportunity to ‘celebrate’ their deceased friend and colleague.

Cheryl added, “But now I think there’s an energy there that makes it feel good. It’s the right time to celebrate Sarah, it’s the right time to celebrate the bond and the right time to celebrate that we can still do this 21 years later. That is a great honor in many ways.’

Kimberley said: “Over the past year we have felt this outpouring of love – obviously towards Sarah, but really towards all of us as a group.

“And I think it rekindled something in all of us.” It feels like something has changed and it feels like the right time to celebrate Sarah and the 20th anniversary that we didn’t celebrate at the time.”
