A young woman has been labeled greedy and immature after demanding her live-in boyfriend eat her leftover pizza.

The 24-year-old explained that her partner “stole” three slices of pizza from the fridge and then laughed in her face when she asked him to send her money for the meal.

The young woman posted on Reddit revealing that she and her partner had agreed to do their own shopping and split the bills in half when they moved in together.

“When we buy something that is meant to be used by the two of us, we also share the cost,” she explained.

So when her boyfriend ate three slices of her pizza without permission after coming home late one night, she was furious.

She explained that her boyfriend has a demanding job that requires him to work outside office hours every day, while she worked from 9am to 5pm.

“I eat alone every weekday so I ordered a pizza for myself last week,” she explained. “They don’t have individual pizzas, just regular pizzas, so I couldn’t eat them all.”

She put the remaining three slices in a container and saved it to eat later.

But found they were gone by morning.

“I waited for my friend to wake up and asked him if he ate it. He said he did, so I asked him to refund me half the pizza.’

“He laughed because he thought I was joking, but I told him I meant it – I bought that for myself, he had no right to eat it.”

The woman revealed that her boyfriend called her “selfish” for not sharing, and she hit back, claiming his theft went against their agreement when they moved in together.

Many were shocked that the woman couldn’t share a few slices of leftover pizza with her boyfriend.

“You really have to choose your battle,” one woman said. “If you’re going to be this little pizza, you’re in for a wild ride of annoyance, frustration, and pain for the rest of your life with every single person you’ll ever meet.”

“You treat your relationship like roommates with benefits — would you also charge him per sheet of toilet paper he uses?” asked another.

“God, I can’t imagine being so stingy as to spend so much money with someone I claimed to love,” said one woman.

But others were stunned that her boyfriend would eat her food without permission.

“He has knowingly violated your agreement without discussion – he should refund you for the pizza,” one man wrote. “I’d be so upset if something I planned to eat was missing.”

“I’ve been married 15 years and the leftovers you bring are yours,” said another woman. “I would never eat my husband’s leftovers, and he’d get an earful if he didn’t ask before I finished my dinner.”

A third wrote: ‘It’s about respect – if I really want my partner’s food I have to ask first and happily accept ‘no’ for an answer. It’s common courtesy, I think your friend was extremely rude.’
