A woman who was dating accused serial killer Jesse Calhoun revealed how he would tell her not to talk to him when he was angry.

Krista Sinor met the murder suspect through Facebook and they dated until he was arrested for parole violation before the allegations surfaced.

Calhoun is suspected of killing four women in a 100-mile radius from Polk County, southwest of Portland, to the Columbia River Gorge, east of the city.

Kristin Smith, 22; Charity Perry, 24; Bridget Webster, 31; and Ashley Real, 22, were found dead in wooded areas, under a bridge and in a culvert over three months.

Sinor said she was still in contact with the accused killer through letters and phone calls to the prison, and found the murder allegations “confusing.”

She described how their relationship was turbulent, saying Calhoun sometimes flew into anger but tried to protect her from the worst.

“He always said, when he got angry, like if he stubbed his toe or something, he would say, ‘Don’t talk to me,'” she said. News Nation.

“Just know that I can’t be spoken to for a few minutes, you know, if I get angry, just leave me alone and we’ll discuss it later.

“So I mean, those times when I got thrown on the bed and he got mad or whatever said I did something to… mess things up, he came back and apologized for it.”

The Multnomah County Prosecutor’s Office announced Friday that Calhoun would be charged with the murders of three women.

Calhoun has a lengthy criminal record, with felony convictions dating back nearly two decades.

He was reportedly a talented artist, who told booking officials he made a living painting designs on vehicles.

His first felony conviction occurred in 2004. In 2018, he was arrested again with meth, several guns and more than 500 rounds of ammunition. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office called him a “prolific thief and career criminal.”

In 2019 he received four sentences, which were to run concurrently.

Calhoun was one of 41 inmates whose prison sentences were reduced by a year in 2021 by then-Governor Kate Brown after they helped fight the devastating 2020 wildfires in Oregon.

Calhoun was released from the Columbia River Correctional Institution on July 22, 2021, nearly a year before his expected release date, the Oregon Department of Corrections said Friday.

He served a 50-month prison sentence for assaulting a police officer, attempting to strangle a police dog, burglary and unlawful use of a vehicle.

Governor Tina Kotek rescinded his commutation on July 3.

The 6-foot-2 suspect, who has a history of resisting arrest, jumped in the Willamette River in Milwaukie and was trying to escape when he was found on July 6.
