The reggae DJ’s girlfriend desperately tried to save him when he was allegedly beaten by a four-man gang outside a nightclub, leaving him fighting for his life in hospital.

A young woman was left traumatized after seeing her reggae DJ boyfriend allegedly beaten so badly he is in critical condition at hospital.
Darrien Fisher, 23, who performs as DJ Dazz, was allegedly mugged by four men outside Jackson’s Hotel in Toorak, Melbourne, in the early hours of January 1.
He had been playing at the Sounds of Africa New Year’s Eve party and was leaving with his girlfriend home around 3am when the group allegedly punched and kicked him.
His 20-year-old girlfriend, who did not want to be named and who was also allegedly assaulted when she tried to help Fisher, said: “I am very traumatized.” I’m not mentally well right now.
Michael Nous, 19, Mohamed Buram, 20, Ayoub Abdulrahman, 19, and Cleveland Mummy, 23, have since been charged with recklessly causing injury in circumstances of serious violence, brawl and assault.

Melbourne Magistrates Court heard on Monday that the group was allegedly leaning on Mr Fisher’s white Jeep Compass ahead of the argument.
Prosecutors allege the music star “politely” asked the men to move away from his car, prompting one to respond with an insult.
The court heard that Mr. Fisher was allegedly beaten by Mummy before the other three were charged with joining in, kicking him in the head, groin and back.
His girlfriend tried to protect him, but was allegedly injured doing so.
Fisher was left drenched in blood and unconscious with the four men accused of fleeing the scene, the court heard.

The men were arrested nearby after being filmed by a witness running east on Jackson Street, the court heard.
Lead detective Christos Pappas said security cameras from a nearby Woolworths captured “most of the incident”, including the moment Fisher fell to the ground.
Mummy, who appeared without a lawyer and asked for bail, said he was “a little drunk” and only remembered “glimpses, bits and pieces” of what happened, the court heard.
He claimed that Fisher had thrown the first punch in the alleged attack.
Magistrate Robert Stary said the alleged assault was a “serious attack on a defenseless person”. Age informed.

“From my point of view, it is a serious charge of recklessly causing serious injury in circumstances of serious violence and, from my point of view, there are no exceptional circumstances,” he told the court.
Fellow DJ Dizzy Dee said that Mr. Fisher is a “friendly guy” who he never saw get in trouble.
He said Fisher’s girlfriend was seen crying with blood on her dress after the alleged assault.
“She was really distraught,” he said.
Nous, Buram, Abdulrahman and Mummy will return to court in March.
