The girlfriend of disgraced Below Deck Down Under star Luke Jones claims the yachtie was just “acting” when he climbed into his castmate Margot’s bed naked “without permission” and was subsequently fired.

Fitness coach Diana Maldonado, who is in a relationship with the Gold Coast native boatswain, allegedly told a fan of the Bravo series that the shocking incident was just part of a “TV show” and not “real life.”

The Below Deck fan shared a screenshot of their interaction with Diana on Twitter after she messaged her about Luke’s behavior on Instagram.

The fan wrote, “Being with this man shows that you approve of his behavior as a predator.”

In response to the message, Diana shot back: “Girl, he was just doing whatever. It’s a TV show, not real life.’

The interaction sparked outrage on social media, with one fan writing, “Why would someone “act” like a predator, knowing it would follow them forever? Nobody buys this!’

It’s unclear how long Diana and Luke have been dating, but he’s made several appearances on her Instagram in recent months.

In a joint workout video together, Diana referred to the yachtie as her “partner.”

In the final episode of Below Deck Down Under, Luke was fired after climbing “without permission” into castmate Margot Sisson’s bed, who was fast asleep in her underwear.

Second Stew Laura Bileskalne’s reaction to the incident also led to Captain Jason letting go of her after she insisted that Luke was not to blame.

After a naked Luke got into Margot’s bed, who fell asleep unconscious after a night of heavy drinking, producers stepped in and told Luke to leave her alone.

“Can you fuck off?” he told the cameramen.

“We can’t do that, she said no, she said no,” the producers told him.

In the final episode of Below Deck Down Under, Luke was fired after climbing into castmate Margot Sisson’s bed, who was sleeping “without permission” in her underwear.

Once Aesha has returned to the cabin, she tells her friend that Luke had been in her cabin and ran out ‘naked’.

‘Oh my God. Uh, was he naked?’ Margot replied, to which Aesha asked, “Have you agreed to have him here?”

“No, I was asleep,” Margot said. “I didn’t invite that one at all.”

Aesha then informed Captain Jason, who wanted to know if Sisson was ‘safe’.

So she’s safe? She’s safe, yes?’ said Captain Jason. “She’s safe,” Aesha said.

Margot, who was drunk and half asleep at the time, was shocked to discover that Luke had been naked in her bed.

Luke was discharged by Captain Jason Chambers the next day

Aesha tearfully claimed that Luke had tried to “take advantage of Margot’s drunkenness” while she was “completely unconscious” in bed.

Captain Jason then entered Luke’s room and ordered him to stay overnight in a hotel.

The next morning, Jason gathered the rest of the crew and told them that Luke was being fired.

He also lectured the crew on the importance of consent and boundaries and emphasized the rules they had to follow while on board.

Jason then fired Luke, who simply replied, “I’ll accept that.”
