Grave fears for teenage girl who vanished on Christmas Eve and has not been seen since
There is a desperate search for a girl who has been missing for a week.
Jalama Buchanan, 15, was last seen in Erskineville, in Sydney’s west, about 1.30pm on Christmas Eve.
Concerned loved ones alerted police four days later after failing to locate or make contact with Jalama.
NSW Police launched an investigation into Jalama’s whereabouts and made it public on Tuesday, a week after she went missing.
Police and family are seriously concerned about her well-being.
Jalama is described as having an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance.
She is 160 cm tall, medium build and dark long hair.

She is known to regularly visit inner west Sydney and the north coast of NSW.
Sydney’s suburbs include Redfern, Waterloo and Erskineville.
The North Coast region of NSW includes Casino, Wauchope, Coffs Harbor and Taree.
