A schoolgirl died after she was brutally raped, dumped naked on a railway track and then set on fire with a flammable liquid.
A train driver stopped when he saw Russian Yaroslavl Shikhova (15) roll off the track onto the grass with horrific burns.
Police believe the girl was left to die wearing only socks after being savagely attacked in the Perm region.
She was rushed to hospital and survived for ten days, during which time she identified her alleged attacker.
A ‘school friend’ named Sergey Minyazev, 16, whose mother Irina is a prison guard and father Radik is a police officer, has been arrested on suspicion of rape and murder.

Two other teenage boys are questioned about their role.
The case comes amid evidence of an increase in serious crimes in Russia by youths during Vladimir Putin’s war against Ukraine.
A shocked train driver stopped and radioed for help when he saw her, reports said.
“The girl was put diagonally on the rails – there was blood, and then she rolled off the track and lost consciousness,” said a railway employee.
“There were burns on her body and even the dry grass around it was smoking.
“She was still unconscious when paramedics arrived.”
The source said: ‘As we got closer, we saw a girl.
She was completely naked and wearing only socks.
“No clothes were found. Her whole head was covered in blood, her hair was burned.
“There was no blood on the body. Her head had hit the rails.’
Shikhova was rushed to hospital and survived for ten days, during which time she identified her alleged attacker
He said, “It was lucky she wasn’t run over by a train.”
The witness said the tortured girl “had flammable liquid in her mouth and” [in the genital area].’
Her assailant or assailants were “getting rid of biological traces,” he said. “I helped the paramedics carry the girl on a stretcher.
“She had burns on the left side of her body, her left leg and arm. Her skin peeled off her hands when they tried to lift her up.’
Her distraught father, a teacher, said she had come home from a party at Minyazev’s house, but unbeknownst to her parents, she had gone back outside and climbed through the window.
They thought she was sleeping in her room. The gruesome case is under the “personal control” of Russia’s top detective, Alexander Bastrykin.
Two months ago, he complained of a “general increase in crime,” especially among teenagers and children.
“We see a trend of serious and particularly serious crimes being committed by children,” he said.
Bastrykin was a university classmate of Putin. A judge detained Minyazev for two months.
