A 14-year-old girl was gang raped before being burned alive in an oven. Her shocked brother discovered her jewelry among charred remains in India.
Officers have charged 11 men over the shocking sex attack and murder in Rajasthan after the teen’s bones were found burning in the oven.
The girl, whose name is not known, left her home to care for her family’s goats before she went missing. After she was unable to return home, her family launched an urgent search to find her.
That’s what police officials said TOI: ‘The girl’s brother saw several charcoal ovens (furnaces) set up by the people of a nomadic community.

They added: ‘The smoke billowing from one of the ovens caught his attention and made him suspicious as they were not active in the evenings.
“He rummaged through the oven with a stick, sorting through the charred bits.”
Among the things he found a bracelet from his sister, which he had given her a few days earlier.
After the shocking discovery, a team of police officers and forensic experts rushed to the scene.
Some body parts, along with the victim’s clothes and shoes, were recovered by police.

The tragic incident took place last month, but police have only recently revealed further details about her murder and rape.
On Sunday, a police spokesperson confirmed that the girl was still alive when she was set on fire.
Court documents also suggest that the victim was splashed with petroleum-based chemicals before being burned alive.
The gruesome murder has sparked anger and outrage not only among the bereaved, but across the country.
