Gippsland crash: Horror as car and school bus packed with students collide, two hospitalised

Two people were taken to hospital after a serious collision between a car and a bus carrying 20 high school students.

The accident happened at about 3.50pm on Thursday at the intersection of Bank Street and Princes Highway in Traralgon in Victoria’s Gippsland region.

Several emergency services were sent to the scene.

Two people were transported to Latrobe Regional Health, including the driver of the car, who suffered injuries that are not life-threatening

The bus driver and the students on board were unharmed.

The police have started an investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident, which are not yet known.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers.
