“That’s a bit far, but I just want to enjoy tonight with the boys.”

Reyna’s path to this moment hasn’t been the smoothest, but he’s enjoying the present moment.

“The group of guys and the energy we have here, it’s great. I always enjoy coming to camp.

“I really mean it from the bottom of my heart, they’re a great group of guys, and they’re so great to work with and be around. I can’t really say much more. I’m at a loss for words right now, and it’s just an honor to play for my country with these guys.”

He also praised Tyler Adams, who made his first start for the USMNT in more than 450 days due to injuries he suffered last year.

‘I love him to death. … I had some tough moments a few years ago with injuries, so I know what it takes, and I know how hard it is.

“I’m just so happy for him. He’s a great guy. He is so important to the team… As a player you clearly saw the performance he delivered tonight. Unfortunately, he had a minutes restriction. I would have loved that. I’m not here anymore, but I just love him. I’m so happy for him.’
