Gingin WA: Boy suffers serious injuries after being hit by a car trailer north-east of Perth

A young boy was flown to hospital by helicopter with serious injuries after being hit by a semi-trailer.

The horrific accident happened at around 4.30pm on Tuesday in Starthalbyn Way, near Gingin, about 80km north-east of Perth.

The boy, who is believed to be under 10 years old, suffered serious injuries after coming into contact with the trailer, the Western Australian reported.

Emergency services, including crews from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), quickly arrived on the scene.

The boy was treated by paramedics before being airlifted by RAC helicopter to Perth Children’s Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition (stock image)

The boy was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel before being taken to Perth Children’s Hospital by RAC rescue helicopter.

His condition remains stable.

It is unclear whether the trailer was being pulled by a vehicle at the time.
