Jadon Sancho clashed with new Borussia Dortmund teammate Niclas Fullkrug as the on-loan Manchester United winger begged to take a penalty he won in a match postponed by fan protests.

Sancho, making his second appearance during his loan spell, was a reminder of his talent with a dazzling run.

The 23-year-old dribbled into the penalty area and wrong-footed Cologne defender Rasmus Carstensen.

Carstensen pulled Sancho back, causing the Dortmund star to tumble, resulting in a penalty.

Sancho was then seen arguing with striker Fullkrug, reportedly saying: ‘Give me the ball, give me the ball’.

Fullkrug denied Sancho the chance to score his first goal since returning to the Bundesliga giants.

The Germany international scored the resulting penalty, with Sancho joining him and putting the brief altercation behind him.

Fullkrug’s penalty gave Dortmund a 2–0 lead in the 59th minute, with Donyell Malen scoring his second of the match three minutes later to further extend their lead.

Youssoufa Moukoko secured a 4-0 win in stoppage time to give Dortmund a second convincing victory in a row since returning from the winter break.

Sancho was taken off the field in the 66th minute by manager Edin Terzic as his return to the first team came about.

The winger was handed his first start of his second spell at Dortmund after being loaned out until the end of the season.

It marked a quick introduction to Dortmund’s starting line-up, with the winger last starting a match seven months ago on June 3.

Sancho has been banned from Manchester United since August 26 after a public disagreement with manager Erik ten Hag.

He was forced to train away from Man United’s first team after essentially calling Ten Hag a liar about his reasons for leaving Sancho out of the squad for a match against Arsenal.

Sancho had returned to the first team by coming off the bench in the 55th minute against Darmstadt last weekend for his second debut.

Sancho has now registered goals in his first two games in the Bundesliga, with an assist against Darmstadt and winning the penalty against Cologne.

Dortmund’s back-to-back wins have boosted their Champions League hopes, with Terzic’s side now level on points with fourth-placed RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.

During Sancho’s eventful three-year career since moving to Manchester United in a £73 million contract from Dortmund, he recorded just twelve goals and six assists.
