Gillian Anderson crosses her arms as she bumps into Emily Maitlis

The truth is there for Maitlis and Scully! Gillian Anderson crosses her arms when she meets Emily, who she plays, in a Netflix movie about THAT interview with Prince Andrew.

Gillian Anderson, who plays Emily Maitlis in an upcoming Netflix movie about her infamous interview with Prince Andrew, got the chance to question the former Newsnight star when they ran into each other at a charity event on Monday.

And Richard Eden reported that neither was giving away too much, judging by the arms-crossed poses they struck at the Turn The Tables luncheon in aid of Cancer Research at Bafta in Piccadilly, London.

The X-Files star, 54, wore black pants, with a camel jumper over a cream blouse.

Maitlis, 52, rocked a pair of thigh-grazing suede boots with a sleek cream mini-suit. She had a black bag in her hand.

Last month, Gillian was filmed jogging in Hyde Park while playing Mrs. Maitlis, a keen jogger, for the Netflix production Scoop.

What a coincidence to see you here! Gillian Anderson crossed her arms when she bumped into Emily, whom she plays, in the Netflix film about THAT interview with Prince Andrew, as they attended the Turn The Tables luncheon in aid of Cancer Research at Bafta in Piccadilly, London, on Monday .

Something to say: Anderson (right) had the chance to question Maitlis, who he will play in an upcoming film about Prince Andrew’s disastrous Newsnight interview.

Ms. Anderson wore navy blue leggings, a zip-up jacket and scarf, and even Asics sneakers similar to what Ms. Maitlis wears.

The scenes were some of the first to be shot for the film which tells the story of how producer Sam McAlister landed the 2019 interview in which Andrew said he was at Pizza Express in Woking the night he allegedly had sex with the teen Virginia. Roberts – claims that he vehemently denies it.

Rufus Sewell will play Prince Andrew, with Billie Piper co-starring as Mrs. McAlister.

The film, due for release next year, is based on Ms McAlister’s book, Scoops: Behind The Scenes Of The BBC’s Most Shocking Interviews, which was published last year.

However, the images are likely to upset Maitlis, who is currently working on his own rival TV series.

He has reportedly signed a contract with Blueprint Pictures to produce a drama about the events leading up to the interview, as well as its aftermath.

Although it was Ms McAlister who persuaded Prince Andrew to be interviewed, Ms Maitlis and former Newsnight editor Esme Wren publicly claimed they had gotten the scoop in an interview with Radio Times magazine.

Ms McAlister has now left the BBC, where some of her former colleagues are said to be angry that she revealed the truth about how the interview came about.
