Gilbert Arenas makes bizarre anti-European joke and praises Draymond Green for striking Suns center Jusuf Nurkic and receiving an indefinite suspension: ‘He’s taking care of these Euros one at a time… do your thing!’

Three-time retired NBA All Star Gilbert Arenas bizarrely praised Warriors forward Draymond Green for hitting Suns center Jusuf Nurkic on Tuesday.

In an episode of his podcast 'Gil's Arena Underdog Fantasy', Arenas playfully encouraged Green's unsportsmanlike behavior and urged him to continue targeting European players.

“I know what Dray does,” Arenas said, laughing. 'He manages these euros one by one. The media is trying to force these euros on us and you are suffocating them and hitting them back. I get it, honey. Do your thing.'

“He's got about six, seven more,” Arenas added.

On Wednesday, the NBA suspended Green indefinitely for blatant criticism of his Bosnian counterpart and a “repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts.”

A month before the Nurkic incident, Green served a five-match suspension for deadlocking French center Rudy Gobert in Minnesota on November 14.

During the 2023 NBA Playoffs, Green was hit on the wrist after stomping on the chest of Kings Big and Lithuanian national Domantas Sabonis.

Former Golden State teammate Nick Young also alluded to Green's leanings against European rivals when speaking to Skip Bayless on FS1's Undisputed.

“He's more of a cheap shot, you know,” Young said, laughing. 'He often does that to many Europeans. He doesn't bother with anything but foreigners.'

At 19, Green has become the second-most ruled out player in NBA history, behind Rasheed Wallace's 25. He has also paid more than $3 million in suspension fines.

The Warriors continue to struggle with a 10-13 record and will face a momentum-filled Clippers squad on Thursday without Green anchoring the paint.
