Model Gigi Hadid may have the perfect jawline, a study has found.
The 28-year-old supermodel, who has a child with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik and is linked to actor Leonardo DiCaprio, has a jaw angle of 141.9 degrees when viewed from the front of her face.
According to researchers, this is close to the ‘perfect’ angle of 142 degrees.
When the model’s face was shown to 32 expert facial surgeons and 16 regular people, they unanimously agreed that her jawline was neither too steep nor too flat.
Meanwhile, an older supermodel, Kate Moss, was found to have a nice front jaw angle, which 76 percent of experts and non-experts rated as attractive.

The jaw angle is measured where the vertical part of the jaw, which comes straight down from the ear, changes angle and takes on a gentler slope towards the chin.
A larger angle is typically seen as smoother and more feminine, while a smaller angle is more masculine, as seen in square-jawed celebrities like Brad Pitt.
Stella Maxwell, model and ex-girlfriend of pop star Miley Cyrus and actress Kristen Stewart, was rated highest for the extent to which the vertical part of her jaw matched the slope of her forehead.
Meanwhile, Jessica Stam, who is known as one of the ‘doll face’ models, was found to have the best ratio of the distance across her jawline compared to the distance across the center of her face.
The results come from a study published in the Journal of Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery, published by Elsevier.
Dr. Robbert Cleymaet, from the department of oro-maxillofacial surgery at Ghent University Hospital in Belgium, who led the study, said: ‘It’s amazing that relatively small differences in the angle of women’s jaws can really have a big impact on attitudes of people about their attractiveness.
“The pandemic has shifted face-to-face meetings to video calls, making people more aware of their facial expressions. So it is interesting, not only for scientists, to know which angles and contours of the face are considered beautiful.’
Researchers conducted an online survey in which they asked people to rate various aspects of the jawlines of 53 female celebrities and models.
Actress Amber Heard was rated by 95 percent of raters as having a jaw angle that was neither too steep nor too flat.
Screen siren Brigitte Bardot and Russian model Irina Shayk, former partner of actor Bradley Cooper, were found to have an attractive slope of their lower jaw by at least 80 percent of raters.

Kate Moss (right) appeared to have a nice front jaw angle, which was rated as attractive by 76 percent of experts and non-experts. Meanwhile, Jessica Stam (left), who is known as one of the ‘doll face’ models, was found to have the best ratio of the distance across her jawline compared to the distance across the center of her face
Based on the reviews, the study concludes that the perfect jawline is 142 degrees when viewed from the front and 125.5 degrees when viewed from the side.
The ratio of the distance across the jaw, compared to the distance across the center of the face, is 0.83.
It follows a similar study from 2016, which found that men are preferred if they have a strong jaw.
For example, two-thirds of people surveyed for that study rated actor Brad Pitt’s jaw as in good vertical position.
Current research on female faces concludes that some women may eventually receive implants to achieve the perfect jawline.
Regarding the importance of jaw structure, the researchers conclude: ‘The importance of pleasant facial aesthetics in many aspects of a person’s well-being and quality of life has traditionally been underestimated in medicine.
‘An attractive face is associated with more opportunities, more success and self-confidence.’
