Gigi Hadid climbs on a beam while filming a new Maybelline ad in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards

Gigi Hadid rocked a construction-site chic look Tuesday when she filmed a Maybelline commercial in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of Manhattan.

The 27-year-old in-demand model, who has been keeping a low profile of late, was spotted high above the ground on a red steel beam suspended by a crane while filming the dramatic ad.

The runway star seemed to have her own harness to keep her safe in the event of an accidental fall, and she clung to the thick metal chains that held up the beam for support.

She showed off an ensemble that blended flashy couture items with dressier versions of workwear that wouldn’t have looked too out of place on a construction site.

Gigi was unmissable thanks to her long-sleeved top, which was covered in shimmering silver sequins that sparkled in the light.

But she dressed the item up with a low-profile, button-down black vest that she wore open, and contrasted it with a set of khaki cargo pants.

The pleated pants had roomy thighs but straps around the ankles for a closer fit.

The blonde beauty wore it long with a side parting and elegant waves cascading down her shoulder.

She accessorized her top with a set of shiny silver pointed toe heels, and rocked a set of chunky silver earrings.

Gigi completed her look and added to the construction theme with a pair of black and white work gloves to help her grip the metal chains, along with a skinny black utility belt that contained several small black compartments.

The model could be seen holding onto the chains and posing with one leg raised dramatically.

She also carried a red megaphone and could be seen speaking into it, though it was unclear if this was part of the commercial or just so she could communicate with team members.

The hanging shot required a camera that was also on a crane, and was covered with plastic bags to keep it dry in the event of rain on a cloudy day.

Gigi also appeared to have a smaller beam behind her for support, although it was painted green, possibly so it could be digitally erased in post-production to make her feat more impressive.

She’s been modeling Maybelline products for years, so it came as no surprise that she sported a sleek face makeup for the shoot.

Gigi has been keeping a low profile of late after it was reported that she was unconcerned by Leonardo DiCaprio’s alleged new romance with 23-year-old Victoria Lamas.

Gigi and the Titanic star had briefly dated, making her the first woman he has publicly dated over the age of 25, though his flirtations with women slightly closer to his age were short-lived.

Last month, a source said page six that Gigi wasn’t “serious” about Leo and was instead putting most of her attention on raising her two-year-old daughter Khai, whom she shares with ex-partner Zayn Malik, 29. They separated, apparently for good, in October 2021.

“Neither of us wants anything serious right now,” the source claimed. Gigi’s priority is her daughter.

She opted not to use an epidural during her 14-hour labor, along with her then-partner Zayn, sister Bella, mother Yolanda, and midwife’s assistant amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In September, the Guest In Residence founder said she thinks her little boy is “a genius” during an interview with Sunday TODAY.
