Giants rookie Malik Nabers admits he still hasn’t been to Manhattan… one month after the LSU alum was drafted 6th overall by New York
Giants rookie Malik Nabers is not yet in a New York State of Mind.
The former Louisiana State University star, who was the sixth overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, admitted he hasn’t ventured to Manhattan yet.
“They told me to go to New York City and Manhattan and try the pizza, but I’ve never been there,” Nabers told Sports Illustrated Tuesday.
When asked about setting a date to explore the Big Apple, the wide receiver said he would make the trip, “when we don’t have practice.”
It comes nearly a month after the franchise drafted the 20-year-old Louisiana originaland welcomed him to East Rutherford, New Jersey to start a life as a giant.

The wide receiver, who is from Louisiana, said he will explore the Big Apple when he gets a break
At the time, the team released footage of Nabers being greeted by GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll, although many fans noticed that he looked quite miserable.
Later that day, the rookie said at a press conference that he planned to put his “body on the line” for his new team.
Nabers gives the Giants a receiver with elite ball skills and route-running ability. Last season he caught 89 passes for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns with the Tigers of the Southeastern Conference.
In addition to training at the Giants’ headquarters in New Jersey, Nabers has been busy crisscrossing the country for fancy events.

Over the weekend, he joined a small group of NFL rookies from the class of 2024, including the Bears’ first overall pick Caleb Williams and Patriots QB Drake Maye, for an intimate breakfast with Tom Brady and Jay-Z.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion and the Empire State of Mind rapper co-hosted the event in Los Angeles on Sunday morning with Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin.
“Thank you so much to Tommy and Jay for the valuable advice and knowledge you shared – this was such an incredible opportunity for these rooks before they take their first photo,” Rubin captioned a series of Instagram snaps, and noted that the group “discussed sports and business.”
“There are big things ahead for this group. I can’t wait to see you all crush it on and off the field,” the billionaire entrepreneur added.
He later flew to Los Angeles, where he joined Tom Brady and Jay-Z for an intimate breakfast
