New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito not only loves racking up yards and touchdowns, but he also has a knack for Italian food, especially chicken cutlets.

On Thursday, the Giants paired DeVito with social media star and food enthusiast Cugine, known on various platforms as 'Meals by Cug', to blindly rank Italian dishes.

The pair jointly ranked chops as the best dish above eel marsala, French chicken, shrimp scampi and eggplant parmesan.

“Of course that's No. 1,” DeVito said when the producer asked them to rank the dish. 'You can do anything with a cutlet.'

“Plain cutlet, chicken parmesan,” Cugine began in response.

DeVito turned down major offers from the Commanders and Patriots to remain in New Jersey

“Sandwich or dinner,” DeVito added. “Just put it on the table (and) grab one to take with you.”

Before the entrees, DeVito and Cugine also ranked different types of pasta. The pair agreed that penne vodka was superior to linguine with mussels, Bolognese, ravioli and lasagna.

A New Jersey native, DeVito has quickly risen to prominence for his home state team after going undrafted.

DeVito turned down significant payments from the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders to remain in New Jersey, even if it meant playing for the Giants' practice squad.

NFL minutes finally opened up for DeVito after fellow quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor were both placed on injury reserve. DeVito then started off with back-to-back victories over the Commanders and Patriots, the same teams that tried to poach him.

DeVito completed 18 of his 26 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-19 win over the Commanders in Week 11. The following week, in a 10-7 win over the Patriots, DeVito completed 17 of 25 passes for 191 yards and a touchdown.

DeVito played a total of five games this season. He has completed a combined 66 of 105 passes for 697 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions.

Despite the late resurgence behind DeVito, the Giants are 4-8 this season with five games remaining. They look to build a three-game win streak when they take on the Green Bay Packers on December 11.
