Leicester City has regained Premier League status after automatic promotion from the Championship.
Going into the penultimate round of fixtures, the Foxes needed to win one of their remaining two games to move up, while their return could be sealed even sooner if Leeds lost at Queens Park Rangers.
And on Friday evening their fate was confirmed at the first opportunity when Daniel Farke’s side were defeated 4-0 in west London, with Ilias Chair and Lucas Andersen scoring first-half goals for the hosts before Lyndon Dykes and Sam Field completed the victory sealed.
In the immediate aftermath of the final whistle at Loftus Road, Leicester’s social media account shared a video of the players’ joy, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leading the animated celebrations.
The 25-year-old midfielder then revealed there are no signs of the party’s slowing down among the squad, writing on X: ‘Okay… who’s in Leicester tonight?’

The club’s social media team also got involved in the action by ridiculing the promotion rivals after their defeat.
In February, Leeds made a late comeback against the Foxes, with goals from Connor Roberts, Patrick Bamford and Wout Faes enough to secure three points at Elland Road.
The Yorkshire side later shared scenes from the stands with their fans signing to Kaiser Chiefs’ 2004 hit I Predict a Riot.
Ahead of the full-time whistle for the clash between the Whites and QPR on Friday, Leicester returned fire by tweeting the song title in an apparent tongue-in-cheek reference to the February clash.

The result confirms a positive end to an up and down season for the King Power Stadium team.
Leicester now go into their final two games of the season knowing they will earn victories over Preston on Monday and secure the Championship title at home to Blackburn on the final day of the season, with only Ipswich able to deny them the title.
Enzo Maresca’s side made a flying start to the season and looked certain to return to the Premier League – they were 17 points ahead of Leeds at the turn of the year – before a major wobble saw them lose six times in ten games through February until April.
But a 2-1 win over play-off West Brom on April 20 took them back to the top of the table and the 5-0 win over Southampton on Tuesday meant their fate was firmly in their hands.
Maresca said after their midweek demolition against the Saints: “It’s been a long season, 51 official games,” Maresca said. ‘Before tonight’s game we didn’t know how many points we needed. Two, three, four, five, they lose, they win, who knows?
‘The good feeling tonight is that we now know that you will be promoted with one win. Two days off, recovery, and then we start preparing for Preston, the next and the most important.
‘We are just now looking for promotion (not for the title). It doesn’t matter where, first or second. But right now the most important thing is that we win one more game to get promoted.’
