A country pub has been praised for its tongue-in-cheek response to a one-star review.
A man called Robert called the Gerogery Hotel in rural New South Wales, just 20 minutes north of Albury, ‘absolutely disgusting’ for serving a lot of food to someone who was ‘obese’.
The staff was left scratching their heads over the hostile feedback from the ‘pathetic judgmental keyboard warrior’ and encouraged fans to tag their favorite Robert, who is not an ‘internet troll’, to offset the negativity.
The pub is known for its ‘challenge meals’, where customers try to eat a huge plate of steak, chicken parmigiana or a burger in under an hour.
Gerogery hotel cafe Norm Carl told FEMAIL that Robert had never visited the establishment but had spoken out about their food challenges.

“What kind of world do we live in where someone can leave a review about a business they haven’t even been to?” he said.
The owner added that he doesn’t see many negative comments on the hotel’s social media and often ignores trolls so as not to “encourage” them.
However, Norm had to disable comments on a particular restaurant’s post after it received a series of negative comments – so Robert turned to Google to file a complaint.
“Why on earth would you serve so much food to someone who is so obese? Absolutely disgusting,” Robert wrote.
‘You might as well post a photo of an (alcoholic) drinking jug. To be better.’
The management of the Gerogery Hotel hit back at Robert, who they said was not welcome at the establishment.
‘He seems like a pathetic, judgmental keyboard warrior hiding behind a limited profile. We believe Robert should follow his own advice and get better,” Facebook said after read.

“We realize that a lot of Roberts are great. Robert Downey Jr., Robert De Niro, Robert Irwin. Tag a Robert who is a top guy and not an internet troll who should visit the G-Rodge because they are welcome.”
They added hotel deals and serve whatever their customers want, and have reported that the review is ‘completely contrary’ to what they believe in.
‘Gerogery Hotel NSW is an inclusive, welcoming environment where you come for good food and a good time. Feel free to do the same.’
Many jumped to the pub’s defense, finding the response to Robert’s dismal review hilarious.
‘I think he should change his name to Stephen. He is not welcome in the Robert club,” said another Robert.
“All I heard from that review was that you guys serve big meals, that seems good to me,” one user laughed.
‘Is he complaining that his own meal is too big? What would he like the staff to do? Weigh it, check the portions and make a feeding schedule for him?’ someone asked.
Guests at the Gerogery Hotel can choose to put their stomachs to the test by preparing one of the huge challenge meals in under an hour.

There’s a $45 ‘Double Stacka’ chicken parmigiana, a $45 ‘Quintuple G-Rodge burger’, or the $50 1kg steak with a huge portion of salad and fries.
The giant meals appear to have become a divisive issue on the hotel’s Facebook page, with some saying they look like a ‘heart attack’ on a plate.
“Most of the comments we get on Facebook are positive, 99.9 percent of people see it for what it is and it’s a bit of fun,” Norm said.
“People complain about the hungry or the homeless, but they are the minority who don’t understand that eating a big meal won’t affect someone who has trouble sleeping.”
Norm posted a photo of a resident who took on the challenge with a group of friends, as the hotel usually does when someone orders the meal.
“He is not an idle man, he is part of the cricket club and came with the rest of the team, but he is a bigger man so he got a lot of negative comments on the post,” he said.
‘It got to the point where I thought I should delete the post because it was online bullying, but I found a way to disable the comments.’
Norm said he was “shocked” by the terrible comments and was shocked to see that Robert had posted the photo with the cruel feedback on the Google review.
Fortunately, Google removed the review at Norm’s request, which he considered a “win.”
He added that many fans on Facebook have dubbed Robert the “new Karen.”
