Two people have been killed and several injured. after a man launched a knife attack on a train in Germany today.
A man, said to be Syrian, attacked passengers with a knife shortly before the regional train traveling from Kiel to Hamburg arrived at Brokstedt station at around 3pm today before being arrested.
The suspect, who has not been identified by police, launched the knife attack just before the train arrived at the Brokstedt station near Neumunster, a city in northern Germany.
Two people were killed in the attack and several others were injured, including one person who is in critical condition, reports picture.

The man was approached by policemen at the train station and arrested, reports spiegel.
A witness said KN-online that the people in his train car panicked when three girls ran in and told them that a man with a knife was on the train.
Several ambulances are now in place to treat the injured passengers and the police have closed the station.
Police did not give any information about the suspect’s identity and said his possible motives were under investigation.
