Gerard Pique’s girlfriend Clara Chia heads out for lunch in Barcelona ahead of ‘engagement’

Clara Chia, Gerard Pique’s girlfriend, went to lunch in Barcelona on Tuesday, after her beau flew to Miami to spend the summer holidays with his sons.

The model, 24, put on a leggy display in chic black shorts during the solo outing, after it was revealed the pair plan to announce their engagement in the coming days.

Clara showed off her model physique in an oversized black blazer and matching city shorts, paired with comfy trainers as she headed to lunch.

She and Gerard went public with their romance last year in the wake of the footballer and Shakira’s divorce, and sources now claim they plan to share their engagement news on June 24.

The source told Spanish media: “Gerard Pique and Clara Chia are getting married. The ex-footballer and his girlfriend made this very important decision.

“They also planned the ideal time to bring out the good news. The announcement will be made on another important date for Pique, the wedding of his brother Marc who will marry his childhood sweetheart Maria on June 24.”

The South American singer, whose full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, parted ways with her longtime love Gerard, 36, last summer amid allegations that he had cheated on her with the woman he dated after the split , Clara Chia Marti , 24.

Shakira is mother to children Milan, 10, and Sasha, eight, with Gerard.

Earlier this month, Shakira emotionally discussed relationships following her painful split with the Spanish former footballer.

Meanwhile, another source told Radar Online: “It was a huge blow to Tom’s ego, it stung all the more because he sees Lewis as a buddy.”

According to Us Weekly, the Hips Don’t Lie singer finds the rumors “hilarious” and despite having a “nice” time with Tom when they met at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, she has no plans to move forward .

The rumor mill kicked into gear when the pair were photographed together at the sporting event, with sources claiming the A-list actor is “extremely interested in chasing” Shakira.

However, an insider has now revealed: “Shakira had a great time with Tom in F1, but she has no interest in dating him.”

They further explained that the singer is currently taking a dating break after her 11-year relationship with Gerard Pique came to an end in June.

The insider continued, “Tom was very nice and she enjoyed his company, but she is not focused on dating him or anyone else at the moment. She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids and career for now.
