Gerard Butler is barely recognizable with blonde hair on set of In The Hand Of Dante in NYC

Gerard Butler is currently working hard on the new American-Italian drama film In The Hand Of Dante, directed by Julian Schnabel.

The longtime leading man was spotted filming a new scene in Downtown Manhattan's West Village neighborhood with a young co-star.

Principal photography began in Italy in October 2023, after the project secured an interim deal between SAG and AFTRA while the union was still on strike.

With new agreements in place for the writers and artists, production can move full steam ahead in New York City.

In between takes, one of Schnabel's sons, who turned out to be producer and director Otto Schnable, stopped by and chatted with Butler, who was barely recognizable with blond hair as he shot a scene in a doorway.
