Georginio Wijnaldum ‘agrees deal to join Al-Ettifaq at PSG and reunite with former Liverpool midfield partner Jordan Henderson’
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has reportedly agreed to a move to Saudi side Al-Ettifaq.
Fabrizio Romano tweeted: ‘Gini Wijnaldum to Al Ettifaq, here we go! Verbal agreement has been reached on a three-year contract, with PSG receiving compensation in excess of €9 million.’
“Contracts are checked and the deal is finalized. Wijnaldum accepted. Steven Gerrard called him, as was revealed two days ago.’
Wijnaldum was loaned to Italy at Roma last season, but returned to his parent club PSG ahead of the new season.

PSV and Ajax would both be interested in bringing the former Liverpool midfielder back to his home country.
His move to Saudi Arabia sees him reunited with former Liverpool midfield partner Jordan Henderson.
He made just 14 appearances for Roma during his loan spell as he suffered a serious leg injury.
