George W. Bush’s daughter Barbara breaks her 2024 presidential election silence by revealing who she’s voting for
Barbara Pierce Bush, the daughter of former President George W. Bush, is supporting Kamala Harris and even campaigning for her in a state of contention.
Bush campaigned this weekend in battleground Pennsylvania, one of the most contested states and, in many computer models, the most likely to determine the winner.
“It was inspiring to meet with friends and voters with the Harris campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend,” she told People. “I am hopeful that they will move our country forward and protect women’s rights,” Bush, 42, added.
It was a quiet gesture, but it nevertheless made her the last person identifying with the pre-Trump Republican Party to express her support for the Democratic nominee.
The activist is no stranger to campaigning, although she does not profile herself in public. She spoke at the 2004 Republican National Convention and campaigned for her father’s re-election in swing states.
She is the twin sister of Jenna Bush Hager, who spoke about the personal aspect when President Joe Biden announced he would not seek re-election.

“We’ve become a country so divided over politics that sometimes it’s hard to think, ‘Oh my God, he’s human,'” Jenna told the Today show, then spoke about her time supporting the Bidens meet.
“I just hope that as a country we can get back to a place where it’s like, ‘Oh yeah, he’s a human being and this must have been a very difficult decision,’ and a decision that his family probably helped with, but also is sad. about it and that is understandable,”
The registered Republican called his decision “admirable” and said Biden “had to make a difficult decision because many one-term presidents don’t feel like the job is done.”
Trump mocked the Bush daughter’s Uncle Jeb during his successful 2016 campaign.

Trump has regularly attacked the Bush family and the Bush presidency
Barbara Bush is an activist who is not a member of the Republican Party
He has called their father’s two terms in office “a failed and uninspiring presidency,” while in fact he took over the party over which the Bush dynasty held sway for years.
On Saturday in Michigan, Trump attacked Bush’s former vice president, Dick Cheney, while labeling his daughter Liz Cheney – who is campaigning for Harris – as a “warmonger.”
“Her father was responsible for the invasion of the Middle East that killed millions of Arabs – millions – and this is who Kamala is campaigning on,” Trump said.
Barbara Bush’s campaign efforts are just the latest development in which Trump has gobbled up traditionally Democratic constituencies, including unions and minority voters, while Harris is campaigning with Republicans and former generals who served in the Trump administration and now make him a threat to the rule of law to call.
An image she gave to People Bush shows her grinning in a “Kamala” hat.
The mother of two says she doesn’t identify with either party.
