George Santos yells at anti-Israel protester, calls him a ‘f***ing terrorist sympathizer’: Capitol Police intervene to arrest protester outside chamber Republicans vote to nominate new speaker

  • “No one who defends Hamas has any business in this building,” shouted an extremely emotional Santos

Republican Rep. George Santos went on a screaming tirade in the halls of the Capitol complex after an anti-Israel protester confronted him.

β€œHe has no business in this building. What is happening in Israel is abhorrent,’ shouted an extremely emotional Santos.

‘No one who defends Hamas has any business in this building…He is an animal. He is attacking a terrorist sympathizer,” he continued.

The event took place immediately outside where Republicans are meeting to vote on a new nominated house speaker.

Capitol Police stepped in to intervene and arrested the protester, identified as Shabd Singh, who got under Santos’ skin.

He appeared to ask Santos about ‘Israeli genocide,’ sparking the embattled Republican’s ire.

Santos β€” who is under federal indictment for allegedly embezzling campaign funds and lying to Congress β€” has also falsely claimed in the past that he himself was Jewish.

He tried to clean up his denied religious claim by saying he meant he was ‘Jewish’.

β€œI never claimed to be Jewish,” Santos previously told the New York Post.

‘I am Catholic. Because I learned that my mother’s family had a Jewish background, I said I was ‘Jewish-like”.

The protester, who appears to be Jewish but critical of Israel, wanted to speak with former Speaker Kevin McCarthy. He said he was critical of any new war in the Middle East.

‘I have mr. McCarthy followed as he walked down the hall. I asked him questions about what he was doing to stop the ongoing commission of war crimes by the Israeli army,” Singh said.

Santos was reportedly holding a child at the time of the confrontation.

‘And the next time he tries to walk past me. With a child in my hand I want him out of here,’ he declared.

On October 7, Hamas terrorists burst through the heavily militarized border around the Gaza Strip and killed more than 1,300 people – most of them civilians – in an attack compared to 9/11 in the United States.

The terrorists beheaded more than 40 children and snatched elderly men and women from their beds and took them captive in Gaza.

27 Americans were confirmed killed by Hamas in the attack and more than a dozen are still missing.

The horrific attack shook the world and emotions remain raw as more reports and videos of the mass atrocity are released.

Chaos continued to engulf Congress as the House of Representatives entered its 10th straight day without a speaker.

The hallway of the Longworth House office building was filled Friday afternoon with reporters and members of Congress hashing out the latest Republican vote on a new speaker nominee.

The House is currently unable to even pass a basic resolution dealing with the terror attack in Israel, much less provide additional funding as a key ally prepares for a possible ground invasion amid warnings from a humanitarian tragedy.

A potential government shutdown looms again, with funding set to expire within weeks.

The whole scene “makes us look like a bunch of idiots,” said Rep. Austin Scott of Georgia said earlier Friday.
