George Santos is ‘100%’ a target for Dancing with the Stars and top reality shows and could make ‘up to $2 MILLION’
After being booted by his colleagues, Congress' boldest villain could soon make his reality TV debut.
A source involved in reality TV casting told DailyMail.com that producers definitely have Long Island liar George Santos in mind, but it will all depend on whether he can keep himself in the news when they make casting decisions.
More than 100 Republicans joined Democrats last week to out the fantastic liar in a historic vote totaling 311 to 114, with two members voting “present.”
'Producers from The Masked Singer, Dancing with the Stars, Celebrity Big Brother and I'm A Celebrity talk about everyone who is part of their shows and look at the pros and cons after blurting out a name in meetings from then on. ', the insider said. “George Santos is 100% on their list.”
But casting the ousted New York Republican could prove controversial, as he faces charges of fraud, stealing donor funds to pay for OnlyFans and Botox, and a mountain of lies, including fabricating family ties to the Holocaust, the murder of his mother on 9/11, working on Wall Street, recovering from a brain tumor, being of Ukrainian Jewish descent and starting a charity, among other misdeeds.
A source involved in reality TV casting told DailyMail.com that producers definitely have Long Island liar George Santos in mind, but it will all depend on whether he can keep himself in the news when they make casting decisions.
“With the backlash that Dancing with the Stars got for casting Sean Spicer a few years ago and what The Masked Singer got for casting Rudy Giuliani, they might have a few more conversations when it comes to casting George, but he's not out of the closet yet. the conversation,” the source continued.
A separate source familiar with Santos' thinking predicted he would be open to appearing on such shows.
“He knows he has to make money any way he can,” the source said.
'He's done Cameo and will consider everything, book deals, reality, TV appearances. Anything to clear future checks and fatten his bank account. He wouldn't be ashamed of doing reality TV if offered.”
Santos has been producing custom videos on Cameo — where he started charging $75 this week and raised his price to $400 as demand poured in.
Media consumer expert Kate Hardcastle predicted that Santos could walk away from a reality gig with $2 million.
“I imagine he'll be at, say, Sean Spicer's level on Dancing With The Stars – an entry level of around $125-$150,000,” she told DailyMail.com.
“Not a bad payday, but it's what happens next. The exposure to millions of viewers per week – 5.5 million viewers for the final – will increase future opportunities.”
'From there, there's the opportunity for even more earrings – books, public speaking, workshops – or even more cameo videos, where it currently makes $400 per video. You'd think there'd be a limited market for this – but he's still a better earner per video than, say, Kenny G! Combined, it's potentially a $1.5-$2 million opportunity'
The Republican congressman has previously denied claims that he was a drag queen. Santos is reportedly pictured here in a photo of him dressed in drag, when he went by the name 'Kitara'
If Santos were to join 'The Masked Singer' he would be following in the footsteps of Trump's former personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani
Carlotta Mantovan and Moreno Porcu in Dancing with the Stars on December 2
She continued, “If appearing on the show brings any empathy or sympathy for his character and some redemption, it could certainly be the start of a much more lucrative career.”
Santos did not respond to multiple text messages from DailyMail.com regarding the matter.
The former congressman lost his $174,000 salary last week and is facing legal trouble amid a Justice Department investigation. But he earned more in his first few days on the platform than his annual salary as a civil servant, Semafor reported.
A trial date has been set for September 2024. His next court hearing is December 12. Prosecutors accuse Santos of falsifying campaign reports with fake donations, stealing from donors by using their credit cards without permission and collecting more than $20,000 in unemployment while he was employed. .
