Steven Spielberg directed the first four films working closely with Lucas during production.
At first, Lucas was hesitant to cast Ford in Star Wars, preferring to avoid actors from his earlier films.
Thankfully, Ford broke the mold by infusing his signature charm into the Han Solo and Indiana Jones personas, but he still managed to make each character stand out.
In September, Harrison walked onto the stage at the D23 Expo and gave an emotional speech introducing the trailer, saying, ‘I’m very proud to say this one is fantastic. Indiana Jones movies are about mystery and adventure, but they’re also about heart.’
He added, “We have a very human story to tell and a movie that will give you a thrill!”
Harrison, now 80 years old, said this would be the last time he would star as the treasure-hunting character, a physically demanding role. He said, ‘This is it! I won’t fall for you again.’
For this franchise installment, Ford V Ferrari executive James Mangold took over the directing role in place of Spielberg.
After graduating from the University of Southern California in 1967, Lucas co-founded American Zoetrope with fellow filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola.
George’s first success film was American Graffiti in 1973. It was inspired by his teenage years in the early 1960s in Modesto, California, and was nominated for five Academy Awards.
In 1977, George gave the world the epic space opera Star Wars, which became the highest-grossing film at the time.
He then climaxed by teaming up with his good friend Steven Spielberg for Raiders Of The Lost Ark in 1981, the first Indiana Jones movie.

Lucas is considered part of the American New Wave movement in cinema from the late 1960s to the early 1980s, when a new generation of young filmmakers came to prominence in the United States.
The musical score was composed by the legendary John Williams, who scored the original soundtrack 40 years ago.
The latest episode of the action-packed Indiana Jones uses a digitally enhanced, younger-looking version of Ford for certain flashback scenes.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be released nationwide on June 30.
