A devastated George Kambosos Jr says he ‘gave it everything’ during his title failure in Perth as the Australian addressed fans for the first time since his defeat to Vasiliy Lomachenko.

Kambosos was outclassed from start to finish by the wily Ukrainian veteran, 36, before succumbing to two sickening body shots and losing by knockout in the 11th round.

It leaves many questions about the Australian fighter’s future after suffering three defeats in his past four fights.

But a defiant Kambosos insists he will never duck a challenge in his first message to fans.

“I gave it my all, never cherry-picked, always stepped up to the best and toughest challengers,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

‘And Loma will go down as one of the best in history. I’m safe, I’m healthy and I did my utmost to win every second.

“Thank you to all the fans who supported me through it, daring again.”

Kambosos’ comments reflect his immediate thoughts in the ring following his defeat, in which he insisted his world title chase is not over.

“This guy is one of the best of all time,” Kambosos said after the fight.

‘We did our best, but he is a good champion. He deserves that belt. I gave everything.

‘I’m still alive, I’m still standing. I’m not dead.’
