Little else has been revealed about the project, although Clooney was asked about it at the red carpet premiere of his new film The Boys in the Boat.
When asked if he had heard of the project, Clooney told People, “Yes! Margot Robbie is my mother? I've always thought that.'
'Ryan Gosling is my father. If you think about it now, it makes sense. Really,” Clooney added.

Josey McNamara – who co-founded Robbie's production company LuckyChap with the actress, her husband Tom Ackerley and Sophia Kerr in 2014 – spoke about the prequel in an interview in October.
“I can't really say much, but I think we're just trying to do well with the franchise. I'm glad people can experience it when it's done, he said in the interview.
He also teased that the prequel could be the latest of many future collaborations between Robbie and Gosling.
'They are great together. The more projects we can get them to do even out there would be great,” the producer said.
The Ocean's Eleven prequel was first announced in May 2022 and revealed that Jay Roach (Austin Powers, Bombshell) was directing from a script by Carrie Solomon.
Although no details about the story were given, the story is said to take place across Europe in the 1960s.
Gary Ross and Olivia Milch, who respectively directed and co-wrote the 2018 all-female spinoff Ocean's Eight, will both executive produce.
That report stated that the goal was to get production underway in the spring of 2023, although that never happened due to writers and actors' strikes.
