George Clooney is ‘selling his famous $100M Lake Como Villa’ that he has owned for more than two decades

George Clooney is reportedly saying goodbye to his Lake Como home after owning it for 21 years.

According to the Italian magazine, the 62-year-old actor has put the villa up for sale with an agency in Milan, Italy Oggie.

Previous reports incorrectly claimed that the Hollywood icon was selling the house, but real estate agent Yasemin Baysal assured the publication that “it’s true this time.” People reported.

An Italian source also told the outlet that news of the sale is legitimate.

The price of the lakefront estate is estimated at $100 million.

Clooney is said to have bought the house – called Villa Oleandra – from the Heinz family in 2002, via The Washington Post.

It was also reported that the filmmaker’s presence on Lake Como caused a real estate boom, doubling the prices of properties in the area.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Clooney subsequently purchased a nearby home, making it “one of the largest private residences in the area.”

The house, which features 25 rooms, was valued at more than $100 million in 2022, WSJ added.

Lake Como holds sentimental value for the Hollywood heartthrob as he met his current wife Amal Clooney there in 2013 when she dropped by for dinner with mutual friends.

The legendary house has seen its share of A-list hits in the entertainment industry.

Mayor Roberto Pozzi told the Sunday Times that Clooney “came straight to the town hall to see what had happened and we were given a tour of the damage.”
