Geordie Shore has reportedly halted filming for their summer series as an illness has swept the cast.
MTV reality show stars had all flown to Cyprus to shoot the next episode, but it was alleged that many became too unwell to film.
It has been reported that some stars were so bad that they have now returned to the UK as production was halted.
A source told The sun: ‘It was terrible – everyone got sick and couldn’t film.
“It ripped through the cast, so in the end the bosses had to stop filming early and everyone went home.”
Oh no: Geordie Shore has reportedly halted filming for their summer series as an illness has swept the cast

MTV has been approached for comment by MailOnline.
It comes after Geordie Shore was reportedly WRITTEN OFF in February after 12 years on screens.
The MTV reality show, which followed the lives of party stars like Vicky Pattison and Charlotte Crosby in Newcastle, was pulled amid falling ratings. The sun claimed at the time.
The series began in 2011 and has spawned numerous celebrities and influencers, including Marnie Simpson, Holly Hagan, and Sophie Kasaei.
A source told the axing publication: “MTV chiefs have decided it is time to call it a day on Geordie Shore.
The already commissioned series, the show’s 24th, will begin filming this weekend and the reunion will continue as planned later this summer.
“But once they’re filmed, MTV has decided to shelve the series and won’t be using it again. Think of it as letting the format rest instead of canceling it immediately.’

The insider added that while it has been one of the most successful runs of all time, it hasn’t been the same for a few years, so bosses thought now would be the right time.
The publication reported that while at its peak of success over a million people watched each episode, it is now said to be around 100,000 viewers.
An official MTV spokesperson told MailOnline, “Geordie Shore has not been canceled and remains one of MTV’s biggest shows. We can’t wait for fans to see what we have in store for next season.”
The 24th series will continue, as will a second reunion series this summer.
Last April, MTV announced it was producing a first Geordie Shore reunion series to air in September 2022.
OG cast members, including Charlotte, Holly and Sophie, returned to screens together, 11 years after the reality show first aired in 2011.
The original Geordie Shore paved the way for the success of its American equivalent, Jersey Shore, and follows a group of young adults from Newcastle as they move into a house together.
The reunion sequence included a group vacation, a highly anticipated wedding, and a party at Geordie Shore’s house.
The new series has been dubbed the “ultimate Geordie throwback” as original cast members and Marnie – who joined the show in 2013 – made it their mission to host the reunion.
Charlotte said of the news at the time: ‘I’ve always said I’d be on a reunion show and made no secret of the fact that Geordie Shore has a special place in my heart.
“I’m very excited to reconnect and reminisce with my favorite people and lifelong friends.”
The reality star originally left the show in 2016 after announcing her departure on Twitter.
Following the success of that reunion series, it was reported that there will be another one this summer that is still going on.
One of the main stars who didn’t return for the reunion was Vicky Pattison.
She recently said her time with Geordie Shore made her feel “like I was probably good for nothing.”
The reality star, 35, rose to fame on the MTV series but has since struggled to distance herself from the show.
Speaking at an event for the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (Nacoa) at Portcullis House in London last month, she said she had “zero confidence” in herself to succeed.
She told the PA news agency: “No one expected a little girl from Wallsend to be where I am now, less than me, I had no confidence in myself.
And my time spent on Geordie Shore totally reinforced the idea that I probably wasn’t good for anything and I’m really lucky that I managed to turn that time spent on reality TV into something long-lived, in the use my platform for good, to have a voice and speak for the people who need you to speak for them.
“So I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d be here.”
She added: “It’s very important, if someone has a platform, to use it for something. What else are you famous for?”
Vicky also said “I’m really lucky to have a big platform I can’t say I’m going to influence the government Jesus Christ who do I think I am but there are people within Nacoa and their ambassadors who are do have that kind of power.

“So I’m super honored to be connected to people who are really campaigning for change and I’m going to do that any way I can.”
Previously, Vicky was very open about her father’s struggle with alcoholism, and her own, revealing her fear that she would fall into the same trap.
She was known for her binge drinking and wild nights on Geordie Shore, and has shared that looking back she is “mortified” and was “never a nice drunk.”
Vicky also recalled contemplating suicide during her appearance on the show, with the humiliation catching up with her.
