When you reach adventurer rank 20, you unlock Genshin impact‘S Battle Pass. The Battle Pass uses a separate leveling system that requires you to complete simple daily and weekly missions.
Us Genshin impact Battle Pass Guide explains how the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass works and whether it’s worth buying.
How the Genshin Impact Battle Pass works
Each mission you complete grants a set amount of Battle Pass EXP, and it requires 1,000 BP EXP to level up one level. The quests require you to do things like fight a Trounce Domain bosses three times or log in and do your daily four commissions. Most active players increase their Battle Pass just by playing normally, but you can only earn 10,000 BP EXP per week. The pass has a maximum of 50 levels.
Battle Passes typically stick around for about six weeks before being refreshed with the launch of a patch.
Sojourner’s Battle Pass (Free) vs. Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass (Paid)
There are two versions of the Battle Pass. The Sojourner’s Battle Pass is free and provides rewards such as Mora, Adventurer’s Experience, Mystic Enchantment Ores, or Sanctifying Unction (materials to give artifacts EXP), depending on which material you choose. Every 10 levels of the Sojourner’s Battle Pass you will be rewarded with an Acquaint Fate.
The Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass costs $9.99 and gives more Mora, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enchantment Ores, or Sanctifying Essence, in addition to the items from the Sojourner’s Battle Pass. It also gives you one Sanctifying elixir allowing you to create custom artifacts, as well as materials for upgrading talents (skills). There is also a bounty box at level 30 that allows you to choose a four-star weapon from an exclusive set. You will be rewarded for every 10 levels of the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass Intertwined fates.
For $19.99 you can get the Gnostic choir. This is the same as the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass, but instead of starting at level 1 of the Battle Pass, you start at level 10. (If you buy this after leveling up your Sojourner’s Battle Pass, you’ll just add 10 levels to your existing level.) It also includes a special name card style, furniture blueprintAnd five fragile resin (for restoring stamina). Gnostic Chorus gets a discount if you already own Gnostic Hymn.
Notably, every 10 levels the Battle Pass gives Fates the ability to use for gacha wishes. The Free Battle Pass Rewards Meet fate and Gnostic Hymn rewards Intertwined fates.
Upgrading your Battle Pass to the Gnostic Hymn is only worth it if you complete it. We recommend that you do not purchase the upgrade until you reach rank 50, as you will still receive all rewards retroactively.
Genshin Impact Battle Pass Weapons
The paid Battle Pass rewards a box called the BP Bounty, which allows you to choose one of the 10 following weapons:
- The black sword (sword)
- Snake backbone (claymore)
- Solar Pearl (catalyst)
- The Viridescent Hunt (bow)
- Deathmatch (pole arm)
- Wolf-Fang (sword)
- Talking Stick (clay)
- Sacrificial Jade (catalyst)
- Scion of the Burning Sun (Arch)
- Ballad of the Fjords (polearm)
It’s hard to rank the weapons, but Snake spine And Wolf Fang are often seen as the “best” and The viridescent hunt And Talking stick are considered the worst of these weapons, but you should just grab what you need from the BP Bounty that suits your characters’ needs.
We recommend that you look up individual building guides for your favorite characters Keqing mains supply and see what they recommend. For example, if you’re a Kinich main player, you might want to opt to build the Earth Shaker, a Natlan weapon, instead of choosing the Serpent’s Spine (or shelling out the $10 for it). However, if you’re playing Arataki Itto and don’t have his special five-star weapon, the Serpent’s Spine is his next best choice, making it a worthwhile choice.
