Geno Smith and Titans Derrick Henry of the Seahawks have been named the NFL’s Offensive Players of the Month for the NFC and AFC respectively, with Smith taking home the honor for the first time.
The former Jets starter plays the best football of his career in Seattle, leading the team to a 4-1 record behind 1,207 passing yards with nine touchdown passes last month.
Smith led the NFC in the passer rating in October and continues to make the Seahawks’ transition to life after Russell Wilson surprisingly seamless.

Henry won the award for the third time when he scored 563 rushing yards and five touchdowns in four games.
The former Alabama running back put a huge workload on the Titans as they went 4-0 as he averaged 28 carries per game.
He will become the first running back since the likely retired Todd Gurley to win the award three times.
On the other side of the ball, Jets’ defending lineman Quinnen Williams and the Vikings’ Za’Darius Smith were honored.
Williams had 4.5 sacks and one force fumble in October, while Minnesota linebacker Smith managed to lead all players with 6.5 sacks.
