- Gennaro Gattuso is known for his fiery temperament as a player and as a manager
- He addressed the press together with Filip Krovinovic and cursed his own player
- However, Krovinovic saw the humor in it and couldn’t help but laugh
The notoriously hot-tempered manager Gennaro Gattuso recently hilariously told his own player at a press conference: ‘Fuck off’.
Gattuso, who is now manager of Hajduk Split in Croatia, is known for his fiery temperament and has been involved in several heated confrontations both on and off the pitch.
The Italy and AC Milan legend spoke to the media alongside former West Brom and Nottingham Forest loanee Filip Krovinovic ahead of a Europa Conference League qualifier against Slovakian side Ruzomberok and didn’t hold back.
Krovinovic was asked a question by a journalist, but Gattuso, who wanted to give him some cheeky advice on how to deal with the media, joined the discussion with his surprising remark.
He was clearly in a hurry and told the midfielder to answer quickly.

Notorious hothead Gattuso took charge of the Croatian side in June – his tenth role in eleven years
“Filip, don’t talk too much, come on, very quickly and get lost,” said Gattuso.
Several reporters burst out laughing at Gattuso’s one-liner, which was delivered in English, and even Krovinovic couldn’t suppress a laugh before answering questions.
Gattuso probably wanted his player not to reveal unnecessary details to the press and therefore took a tough stance, like other managers.
The 46-year-old took over at Hajduk in June, his tenth coaching role in eleven years.

He previously coached in Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Spain and France, but was sacked just five months after joining Ligue 1 club Marseille.
Gattuso, who has been signed by Hajduk on a two-year contract, hopes to lead the club to their first league title since 2005 after signing big names such as Ivan Rakitic and Ivan Perisic.
Gattuso has immediately hit the ground running and has already guided the club to the third qualifying round of the Conference League and a victory in the season opener.
But as with much of his career, he is now back in the news for his off-field antics, to the amusement and amazement of many.
