General Hospital star Johnny Wactor, 37, is shot and killed in Los Angeles after robbery gone wrong

Johnny Wactor, a longtime veteran of the TV soap opera General Hospital, was shot in Los Angeles on Saturday when he was confronted by thieves who broke into his car, according to TMZ. He was 37.

Wactor’s mother Scarlett told TMZ that her son saw three men trying to steal his car’s catalytic converter.

She said her son didn’t try to fight them or even stop them from robbing Wactor, but they shot him anyway and escaped.

Police said paramedics arrived on the scene around 3pm local time and took him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The suspects have yet to be identified or described, but there is an incident matching the description of the murder in which a catalytic converter was stolen.
