General Hospital star Cameron Mathison and his wife Vanessa have split after 22 years of marriage.
Cameron, 54 – who has played Drew Cain on the show since 2021 – and Vanessa, 57, announced their separation in an emotional statement shared with AND.
The message read: ‘After 22 years of marriage, we have made the difficult decision to separate.
‘We enter this new chapter with deep love, kindness and respect for each other. We hold gratitude in our hearts for the wonderful years we shared together.
‘Our children are and will always be our highest priority, and we will always share our devotion and love for them.

“We remain friends and wish each other the best. We sincerely appreciate your respect for our family’s privacy during this transition.”
The couple have two children: son Lucas, 21, and daughter Leila, 18.
They married on July 27, 2002, after Cameron proposed to her in Vail, Colorado.
The couple first met in 1998 while working as models in New York City, and began a romance the following year.
In 2022, Vanessa guest-starred on General Hospital as an executive coach named Mia in three episodes.
She told ET at the time, “This was an absolute dream come true.”
Cameron added: ‘We were both nervous. I was nervous. I saw Vanessa was nervous… then I got even more nervous.’
Speaking about their romance, he said: ‘We’ve been married for 20 years and this summer is the day, it’s definitely not been smooth sailing. We’ve had some tough times in the first five years.
“Getting through that time, being able to call Vanessa my best friend and enjoy every moment together to the fullest is better than I ever imagined marriage would be for me.”
The split came five years after Cameron revealed he was suffering from kidney cancer.
