Gemma Collins stuns in a plunging gold dress while getting a glimpse of Kylie Minogue’s iconic Neighbours gown as memorabilia from the soap goes on display

Gemma Collins got to witness a piece of soap history on Thursday when she visited the immersive Neighbors experience in London.

Iconic pieces from the Australian series have been on display in the capital ahead of its return to Amazon Freevee next week, highlighted by the ivory worn by Kylie Minogue to her on-screen wedding.

Gemma, 42, poses for photos next to the famous dress, beaming in a gold dress with long sleeves and a plunging front.

Charlene Mitchell, played by Kylie, wore the dress when she married her sweetheart Scott Robinson, played by Jason Donovan, in 1987.

More than 20 million people watched the famous wedding and now the dress, along with several other Neighbors memorabilia, is on display at Protein Studios.

The new romantic style wedding dress was designed by a local bridal shop.

It will be alongside Guy Pearce’s character Mike Young’s leather jacket, which he wore during his three-year stint on the show.

Meanwhile, Harold Bishop – played by Ian Smith – had a much-discussed Salvation Army outfit that will also be on display.

There will also be a red jumpsuit worn by Ramsay Street favorite Jane Harris – played by Annie Jones.

Fans can see parts of the Neighbors set recreated for an immersive experience at Protein Studios in East London from Friday.

In addition to Harold’s Café, it features the fictional Lassiters hotel, Karl and Susan Kennedy’s living room, as well as a number of unseen scripts and photographs.

Scott and Charlene’s wedding remains one of the most iconic in television history, with millions watching in Britain as they said their vows to the Angry Anderson song, Suddenly.

Mrs. Minogue’s dress is made of ivory silk, organza and chantilly lace and has a slightly dropped waist with a cream silk overlay on the skirt.

It also contains apricot chiffon and apricot and pink rosettes. The dress has a high collar that is decorated with rhinestones, which can also be found on the organza puff sleeves.

Neighbors returns on Monday after being sensationally canceled last July after almost 37 years and nearly 9,000 episodes.

The grand finale also saw the return of Kylie, Jason, Guy, as well as Margot Robbie, Holly Valance and Natalie Imbruglia.

The return will air on Amazon’s Freevee streaming platform on Monday and will feature characters such as Susan and Karl Kennedy, Paul Robinson and will also guest star Hollywood actress Mischa Barton as the program hopes to crack America for the first time.

Executive producer Jason Herbison confirmed in May that Guy Pearce would reprise his role in the soap opera, which was rebooted in April and is being filmed in Melbourne.

The sequel to the long-running soap opera about the lives, loves and challenges of the residents of Erinsborough’s Ramsay Street follows the 2022 finale, which was watched by millions of adoring fans.

And newcomer Mischa has previously promised that her character Reece will liven up the series and bring ‘drama’ to the storylines.

Mischa also recently revealed that it was Neighbors veteran Kylie Minogue who inspired her to accept a role on the iconic Australian soap.

The Hills: New Beginnings star admitted that although she had never seen the show before signing on, she was well aware of its significance as she is a huge Kylie fan.

“I was familiar with it, probably the same things that most people recognize about the show, like Kylie Minogue and the fun stuff,” she told the Herald Sun.

“So when the producers approached me about the role, I felt the character of Reece Sinclair was a great fit for me.”
